CERTIFICATIONS/ ISO 9001:2000
Standard ISO 9000 is an administration tool, where a set of minimum rules is defined with the objective of orienting each part of the company to enable them to execute their tasks correctly and on a timely basis, in harmony with the others, with all corporate areas geared towards the common objective of the company. This objective is the Quality Policy.
Standard NBR ISO 9001 specifies requirements for a quality management system, where an organization needs to demonstrate its capacity to supply products that fulfill the customer’s requirements and the applicable regulatory requirements, aiming to enhance the satisfaction of its customers.
Gail obtained its first certification in May/1997 in ISO 9001:94. It was the first company from the branch of extruded ceramic coverings in the world to obtain system certification. In 2000 it obtained the re-certification in ISO 9001:94. In August 2002 it began the adaptation work to the System ISO 9001 revision 2000. The schedule of activities was followed to the letter, and in May /2003 Gail were already undergoing the first Internal Audit in accordance with the revision of the Standard. It obtained the certification in August /2003 with a great deal of success, and it is the 1st company from the line of ceramic coverings to achieve the upgrade.
